The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects accused of stealing merchandise from a Bashas' grocery store near Riggs and Alma School Roads.

The theft occurred on April 12 and authorities say the male and female suspects were exiting the store with a cart full of unpaid merchandise. When an employee confronted them, they struggled over control of the cart. The male suspect then brandished a knife and attempted to stab the employee. Both suspects fled the store with the items.

While no suspect vehicle has been identified, MCSO has described the suspects as Hispanic or Native American.

If you have any information about the suspects, call MCSO at 602-876-1000.
