Ford Motor is recalling more than half a million SUVs over a potentially damaged engine part that could short circuit and increase the risk of a fire.
The recall was reported July 20 by the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration.

According to the NHTSA, the wiring harness in the recalled vehicles can become damaged, potentially creating heat or sparks that could ignite a fire in the engine compartment.
