Murder suspect arrested after MCSO notices fingerprint discrepancy

PHOENIX (AP) -- A man booked into the Phoenix jail on a probation violation was someone wanted by the FBI for a murder and dismemberment on the Navajo Nation last year.

Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say Devan Leonard is also wanted by federal authorities for a 2014 drive-by shooting. They say Leandro Ramirez was arrested on a probation violation. A fingerprint technician sent the fingerprints to the FBI, which quickly determined Ramirez was really Leonard.
