PD: Woman kills husband for beating cat

DALLAS - Dallas police said a woman shot and killed her husband on Saturday for beating the family cat.

Mary Harrison, 47, told police she had shot her husband during an argument while he was beating their cat, police said.

The shooting happened around 6:45 p.m, at a home in the 13000 block of Falls Manor Drive.

Her husband, 49-year-old Dexter Harrison, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said during the course of the interview, Mary Harrison confessed to shooting the victim.

She was arrested for Murder and taken to Dallas County Jail.
