Police chase bank robbery suspect across the valley

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - One suspect is in jail after police chased him all over the valley after he reportedly robbed a bank in Chandler.

The robbery happened around 3:30 p.m. Monday afternoon at the National Bank of Arizona in west Chandler.

Chandler, Tempe, and Phoenix Police all chased the suspect across the valley into Phoenix and during the pursuit the suspect allegedly fired at officers.

The suspect eventually drove his purple car into Tempe near Mill Avenue and University.

He then ran to an AMC theater nearby where he eventually surrendered to police while carrying the stolen money.

Officers temporarily shut down the theater while they investigated.

The suspect's name has not been released.
