2 arrested in teen's murder in Phoenix

Police have arrested two suspects in the murder of a teenager in Phoenix.

Around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 23, officers found 17-year-old Anthony Rabadan with a gunshot wound near 52nd Street and McDowell Road. He was transported to an area hospital, but didn't survive his injuries.

On Jan. 3, Phoenix Police said 18-year-olds Salvador Montenegro and Adrian Summa had been arrested in connection with Rabadan's murder.

It is believed Summa was released from a juvenile detention facility on unrelated charges on Dec. 22.

Investigators say robbery was likely the motive leading to the murder. Montenegro and Summa were booked into jail and are accused of murder and armed robbery. Montenegro is also accused of being a prohibited possessor of a firearm.
