Police: Man armed with large kitchen knife robs Phoenix Subway restaurant

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a Phoenix Subway restaurant with a large kitchen knife.

According to Phoenix police, the suspect walked into a Subway located near 44th Street and McDowell Road on April 30, bought a cookie, and when the register opened, he jumped over the counter armed with a large kitchen knife and demanded money.

Police say the suspect forced the employees into a back room of the restaurant and then left on foot.

The suspect is described as a Black man in his mid-20s, 5'7" tall, 160 pounds and was wearing a "Sons of Anarchy" hoodie, maroon and gold hat with a swirl design on top, white shoes, and black pants.
