ORLANDO, Fla. (FOX 35 ORLANDO) - Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and the whole Sesame Street gang will start greeting guests at the highly anticipated Sesame Street at SeaWorld on March 27.
SeaWorld made the opening date announcement Wednesday morning live on Good Day Orlando.
"We have all kinds of new and exciting things in this land," Creative Development Manager Amanda Trauger told Fox 35. "There is a new kid's wet play area. It's called Rubber Ducky Water Works featuring Ernie. We have The County and his dry play area and it's a count-around playground. We also have a big, new parade that we're super excited about."
There will be a new street to walk down, new interactive experiences that will allow kids to explore the area, and six newly-themed rides!
The opening is also happening with Sesame Street celebrating its 50th birthday this year.
"In partnering with Sesame Workshop, we are creating a land for guests to make an authentic connection that can only be found in hugging a furry friend or reading a book with Big Bird," said Trauger.
The new themed area will be located on the south end of the park, where Happy Harbor currently stands.
