Surprise party for boy diagnosed with cancer over the summer

TEMPE, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Legoland Discovery is making a little boy's dreams come true.

The child was diagnosed with cancer over the summer, but on Monday, he got a special, surprise party.

Isaac Overton was in his element at Legoland at Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe. He was celebrating his 11th birthday, and was truly thankful for the holiday season.

"He can build something," said Isaac's grandmother, Robin Overton. "One of those great, big $100, $150 ones. He'll have it put together within four or five hours."

Back in June, Isaac was diagnosed with Fibrolamellar, a rare form of liver cancer. His illness has kept him home bound ever since.

"He is our inspiration," said Robin. "He always got a smile on his face, and you wouldn't know he was sick, had he not lost his hair, you know, and not being able to go to school, but he is our inspiration. When we start getting down, all we have to do is look at him."

On Monday, Isaac's chance, and dream, to be an honorary LEGO Master Builder for a day came true.
