The effect of cold weather on critters around the Valley
PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Does this cold spell mean an end to things that have been "bugging" you in the great outdoors? Experts say yes and no.
"When we get down into these 30-degree temps, low 40s, a lot of them are going to die off," said Sage Garvey with Burns Pest Control.
That's when they go into a quiet time. Garvey says although some insects may not survive the cold temperatures, scorpions will linger around. However, the Valley is seeing, overall, less insects and rodents compared to last year...
Garvey says although most insects have died off, doesn't mean we're in clear this spring.
