Shane Doan retires from NHL after 21 seasons with Coyotes

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Former Arizona Coyotes captain Shane Doan has announced his retirement from the National Hockey League.

Doan announced his retirement in a letter to fans published in The Arizona Republic newspaper.

The former captain spent 21 years with the Coyotes before he and the team went their separate ways earlier this year.
