Police ID gunman in deadly shooting near CDC headquarters

Police identified the gunman who opened fire outside the CDC headquarters as Patrick Joseph White, 30. Investigators believe White, who lived in an Atlanta suburb, started shooting because he blamed the COVID-19 vaccine for his health problems.

Soldiers awarded medals for stopping Ft. Stewart gunman

Service medals were awarded to six soldiers who tackled an Army sergeant after he opened fire on a military base in Georgia. The U.S. Army says Sgt. Quornelius Radford shot five fellow soldiers at Fort Stewart on Aug. 6. The injured soldiers are in stable condition and are expected to survive.
