MCSO changing its body scanner policy

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office employees will no longer need to pass through body scanners at facilities. New Sheriff Jerry Sheridan made the change, saying he's dropping the policy because he trusts his employees. The body scanner policy was put in place in 2023 after a detention officer was accused of smuggling drugs into jail. Non employees will still need to pass through the scanners.
