Protesters call for end to anti-Asian violence during Chandler rally
The rally, which happened in front of the Chandler City Hall, took place in the aftermath of the shooting deaths of eight people, many of whom are Asian Americans, in Atlanta. While, police have yet to say whether the shootings there are racially-related, it has been noted that acts of hate against the AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders) community have seen a dramatic increase.
