SUV crashes into power pole, knocks out power to 1,500 APS customers in Phoenix
About 1,500 APS customers were without power overnight after an SUV crashed into a power pole and fire hydrant in a central Phoenix neighborhood. The crash happened near 16th Street and Camelback Road. The driver was hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. APS crews worked for several hours to restore power in the area. The crash is under investigation by Phoenix Police.
