Arizona woman convicted in death of husband; body was dumped

PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - A Prescott, Arizona woman has been convicted in the fatal stabbing of her husband, whose body was dumped at a New Mexico airport by her North Carolina lover.

The Daily Courier newspaper in Prescott reports that 48-year-old Laura Stelmasek was convicted Friday by a Yavapai County Superior Court jury in the 2011 killing of Craig Stelmasek at the couple's home.

Prosecutors said Laura Stelmasek conspired with 50-year-old Marzet Farris III, who already has been convicted in the case.

Farris left the victim's body in a van at the Albuquerque airport. Then he and Laura Stelmasek reunited at his Raleigh, North Carolina home.

Both await sentencing on convictions for murder and other crimes.
