Baby William reunited with his father in California, mother awaiting extradition back to Arizona
Baby William, whose disappearance has been subject to a search effort and has led to the arrest of his grandparents, has been located.
Officials announced the news Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, Steve Berry with Mesa Police provided additional details surrounding the infant's location.
According to a statement issued by Berry Tuesday afternoon, Baby William and his mother, Madeline Jones, were found in Ramona, a town about 36 miles northeast of Downtown San Diego, in San Diego County.
According to a statement issued Monday, Baby William and his mother were found in good condition.
On Tuesday, Berry said Jones is being held at a detention facility in Santee, pending extradition back to Arizona. Jones is reportedly facing charges of alleged custodial interference.
Berry said Baby William has been reunited with his father, who was reportedly granted sole custody during the infant's disapperance.
