Child escapes attemted abduction

PHOENIX - Phoenix police say an 11-year old girl was walking home from Desert Sands Middle School on Monday when a man pulled up in a car and tried to grab her.

She was able to get away and alert her parents, who called police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, in his 20's or 30's with brown hair, blue eyes and a black mustache.

He was driving a faded blue car.
