David Glasser Foundation holds first ever give back backpack event

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - It's been just over a year since Officer David Glasser was shot and killed in the line of duty. And his family is making sure his legacy lives on.

The David Glasser Foundation hosted its first ever give back event on Sunday.

The Foundation asked for backpack donations for students in need just before they start the next school year.

The event went from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Peter Piper Pizza at 51st Avenue and Baseline Road in Laveen, Ariz.
