On June 6, Travis Brown was arrested in Monroeville after driving from Huron, Ohio, under the impression that he was going to meet up with a 12-year-old and a 17-year-old girl.

According to the Huron County Sheriff’s Office, Brown told the undercover detectives, pretending to be the girls, that he planned to have sex with them in the back of his SUV.  After Brown was arrested, authorities discovered a makeshift bed and linens arranged in the vehicle.

Detective Jaclyn Smith with the Huron County Sheriff’s Office told WJW-TV in Ohio that the messages between Brown and the undercover investigators were disturbing, with Smith adding that Brown was "very detailed in his messages, so hard to look at."

"Brown was actively targeting and attempting to exploit young girls in Huron County and surrounding jurisdictions," Huron County Sheriff Todd Corbin said in a statement on the  Huron County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. "Our investigators acted quickly to intercept him. Now that he’s in custody, our focus shifts to identifying any past victims."
