DPS: Vehicle shot at during road rage incident on valley freeway

Troopers are investigating a vehicle that was shot at during a road rage incident while traveling on a valley freeway on Monday morning.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety tells Fox 10 that they received reports of a vehicle that was shot at while driving northbound on the Loop 101 at McDowell just before 6:30 a.m. The Jeep was trying to pass another vehicle when it was hit by three bullets.

The driver of the Jeep says once they passed the vehicle, the suspect driving the other vehicle fired several shots, hitting the Jeep three times.

Authorities are looking for a "box-type" orange SUV type vehicle. No one was injured in the shooting.
