Kidnapping or hoax? Phoenix Police investigate suspicious video

Police have a mystery on their hands after a video, which appears to show a person, possibly a child, trapped in the trunk of a white, 4-door car surfaced.

The surveillance video was captured in west Phoenix near 87th Avenue and Thomas -- and police want to know if this was all a big joke or something more serious.

Neighbors claimed to hear someone yelling from the trunk for help.

"We got the little boy with his hands outside, he tried to open the trunk and then the passenger came out and he slammed the trunk and they both left, so we know there was two people," said Francisco Galvez.
