New marketplace made with shipping containers coming to Downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A new marketplace is coming to Downtown Phoenix, made up of shipping containers.

Construction on the project, called "The Churchill", is currently underway at 1st Street and Garfield.

The Churchill will look to open in the spring. Billed as a "micro-marketplace", the space will be made up entirely of 19 re-purposed shipping containers that will house 10 local businesses.

The project also hopes to take advantage of the expanding Downtown and Roosevelt Row area
