Parts of east valley get hammered by more rain

Parts of the east valley saw more rain Sunday evening.

Around 6:00 p.m., isolated showers popped up around the valley near Maricopa and Mesa.

The National Weather Service in Phoenix reported that a line of thunderstorms from South Phoenix approached Interstate 10 from Chandler to Casa Grande, dropping heavy rain, lightning, blowing dust and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
