Pedestrian struck, killed on Loop 202 in Phoenix

PHOENIX - The eastbound lanes of the Loop 202 in Phoenix were shut down for several hours overnight after a pedestrian was struck and killed.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the deadly collision happened at about 11 p.m. near 40th Street.

DPS has not released any information about what caused the collision.

The eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed from the Mini-Stack to 40th Street for several hours.
