Peoria Police: 4 teens found after leaving group home
Peoria police searched for four young girls who ran away from a group home near 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road over the weekend.
According to Isabel Wolfe with the Peoria Police Department, the young girls were last seen at the group home around 11:30 a.m. when staff was preparing lunch.
Moments later, the girls walked away from the home together without telling anyone where they were going.
Wolfe says three of the girls, Genesis Pizano, Ysidora Page and Erica Johnson were found in Phoenix unharmed and are now safe. They were still looking for 13-year-old Indonesha Everidge on Monday morning, but she was found later in the day.
"In partnership with the Department of Child Safety, Peoria officers and detectives worked conducting interviews and gathering evidence which led to the locating of Indonesia Everidge. Indonesia was located in Phoenix this afternoon with a distant relative. Indonesia appears in good health and is returning home. Reasons why Indonesia ran away are unknown at this time. Thank you to everyone who assisted in insuring Indonesia's safe return," stated Wolfe.
