Phoenix hiker falls 40 feet, knocked unconscious for nearly 10 minutes

PHOENIX - Phoenix Fire rescue crews used a helicopter to rescue a 49-year-old man who sustained several injuries after hiking off-trail Sunday.

The hiker fell nearly 40 feet near the Piestewa Peak Trailhead and told crews he may have been unconscious for at least 10 minutes. 

Crews treated him and transported to a local trauma center for treatment.
