Phoenix man pleads not guilty in stabbing of his twin sons

PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man accused of stabbing his two 23-year-old twin sons after an argument has pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault and other charges.

Randall Eugene Pipkin Sr. was arraigned Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

He was arrested July 11 by Phoenix police and ordered held on $750,000 bond.

Pipkin told police that he had stabbed his two 23-year-old sons in a dispute over money and housework.

Both brothers were transported to a hospital for treatment.

One suffered a stab wound from a large kitchen knife that caused a collapsed lung and the other had a stab wound on his right forearm.

Pipkin is charged with one count of assault, three counts of aggravated assault and one count of disorderly conduct.

His next scheduled court appearance is Sept. 11.
