Photo radar returns to the valley

After a legal brief by the Arizona Attorney General prompted cities to suspend photo radar temporarily, it's now back in action.

Scottsdale turned it's cameras back on Friday, with drivers getting warnings for a grace period and then the city will resume issuing citations.

Phoenix announced they would be turning cameras back on starting Wednesday.

The Chandler Police Department tells Fox 10 that the cameras will be activated at the following intersections on May 16th as part of a week-long test:

Two vendors who run the cameras for the local cities, Redflex and American Traffic Solutions, have now obtained private investigator licenses so staff can process the citations for the cities.
