Police investigate fatal stabbing in Buckeye neighborhood

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police are investigating a woman's fatal stabbing in a neighborhood near McDowell and Verrado Way.

Buckeye police say the stabbing happened just before 6 p.m. on Monday night, and when officers arrived at the scene, they found the woman stabbed in the neck.

She was rushed to the hospital where she later died. The victim's boyfriend was taken into custody.

"This was a domestic violence incident between a couple. The suspect is in custody," stated an officer at the scene.

Police say there was no history at the home and the couple had recently moved in.

No names have been released in this case.
