Police investigating shooting that killed man at Phoenix apartment complex

Phoenix Police say they are searching for a person they believe is responsible for a deadly shooting.

Investigators say the shooting happened early in the morning, on Feb. 9.

Shooting victim identified

What we know:

Per police, the shooting happened at an apartment complex near 35th Avenue and Camelback. Officers were called on scene at around 2:30 a.m., and they found a 50-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim, identified by investigators as Ronald Armstrong Jr., died at the hospital. The suspect, meanwhile, ran off before police arrived.

What we don't know:

Police say they do not have any information on the suspect.
