Shooting injures at least one person, MCSO says

MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. - The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that left at least one person hurt on the evening of Monday, March 13.

Deputies responded to 43rd Avenue and Elliot Road for reports of gunshots being heard. That's where they found a person who had been shot.

On Twitter, MCSO's Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez stated, "Please avoid the area as the investigation continues."

The person's name and condition were not released.
