TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- Police in Tempe are investigating a shooting involving two police officers Monday afternoon.
According to police officials, the shooting took place in the area of Baseline Road and Mill Avenue. In a news conference, Chief Sylvia Moir of Tempe Police said the suspect was found dead.
The officers, according to Chief Moir, were serving a protection order against a man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. One of the officers was struck once, and the other officer was struck three times.
Police say one of the officers has been released from the hospital and the other is in good condition at the hospital.
