Two rescued in Tahlullah Gorge in Northeast Georgia

Two people were rescued Saturday in northeast Georgia's Tahlullah Gorge after officials responded to calls reporting a possible person drowning and one person suffering from a medical issue.

After being rescued from the gorge, one victim was treated for heat exposure, while the drowning victim was resuscitated, according to state and local officials.

One medical personnel was injured at the gorge, while two other rescue personnel were treated for heat exposure, officials said.

According to Habersham County Emergency Services, the injured medical personnel was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

The drowning victim was also taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
