Veteran realtor offers self-defense advise after attack

"You just don't know what is going to happen, when it happens so fast you're in shock, you can't believe it," said Morris.

First thing she does is lock the front door at an open house and let them ring the doorbell or knock so she will decide who comes in.

Two apps on her smartphone keep her safe, BSafe and AgentWatch.

"I can push a button and my phone will ring, and I can say I need to take this call, and I step out and I can leave... if you're not aware and ready and have a plan you don't have time to react," she said.

Gilbert Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 40's or 50's, heavy build, light brown or blonde hair, 5'9" tall, with a tattoo of a knife on his right forearm.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gilbert Police at 480-503-6500.
