White supremacist group creates memorial for Kate Steinle

A white supremacist group, Identity Evropa, put out a video late Thursday night, showing that their members were behind putting up a memorial in San Francisco at Pier 14 to honor the memory of Kate Steinle.

"The acquittal of her murderer - a man who should have never stepped foot in America to begin with - is an indictment of not only San Francisco, but our country overall," tweeted Identity Evropa, a group that formed in March 2016 and was identified by the Anti-Defamation League as a white supremacy group.

The man who killed Steinle, Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, is an undocumented immigrant and was acquitted yesterday of murder charges; the jury decided Steinle's killing was an accident. The verdict has infuriated many on the right.

Its founder is Nathan Damingo, who grew up in San Jose, and is best known for punching a female Antifa protester in the face, and someone who has been tracked by the Southern Poverty Law Center. In August, Damingo stepped down, appointing Elliott "Eli Mosley" Kline to be the new executive director. He was one of the key organizers for the Unite the Rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Identity Evropa's video shows quotes from President Donald Trump tweeting how "disgraceful" the verdict was.

The memorial was also visited by a group called Bay Area Alt Right, whose members tweeted that their members "paid tribute to Kate Steinle at Pier 14, where she was murdered by a 5x deported illegally alien."
