Yuma woman accused of starting fire in a Buckeye jail cell

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - A Yuma woman is accused of arson after she allegedly tried to set a roll of toilet paper on fire in a Buckeye jail.

An Arizona Department of Public Safety officer stopped to help an apparent disabled motorist early Monday on the shoulder of Interstate 10 just west of Buckeye.

The officer found 40-year-old Rachael Monique Davis in a car with the keys in the ignition, but the vehicle not running.

He says Davis couldn't provide a coherent answer when questioned and fought with the officer as she was being handcuffed.

In the holding cell, authorities say Davis got out a butane lighter and tried to light the toilet paper.

She's being held on suspicion of arson of an occupied structure, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and driving under the influence.
