After the FDA issued a recall on ground cinnamon, the Banner Poison Control Center is warning the public about the dangers of lead poisoning. Some of the recalled cinnamon brands were sold by Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores.

AZ couple finds rattlesnake in backseat of their car
A couple in Phoenix say they found a rattlesnake curled up in the backseat of their car. They say they used a broken branch to fling it out of the vehicle. The woman says she thinks the snake got into the car when she was loading up the backseat. The woman also thinks the snake could have been in the car for two weeks.

A new report from WalletHub says Scottsdale is the 10th happiest city in the U.S. Criteria for the report include job satisfaction, what there is to do in the city, and depression rates. Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe and Peoria all ranked in the top 50, while Phoenix finished 87th. The top three cities were Fremont, California, Overland Park, Kansas and San Jose.

Tamika Wooten joins Maricopa County Attorney's race
Democrat Tamika Wooten filed her statement of interest, joining the race for Maricopa County Attorney. Wooten hopes to unseat incumbent Rachel Mitchell. Gina Godbehere, a former prosecutor for the city of Goodyear, is also in the race. She unsuccessfully ran for county attorney in 2022.

Freshman Republican Rep. Justin Heap of Mesa filed his statement of interest to challenge Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer in the July primary election. Heap is a member of the Freedom Caucus at the state capitol. Richer was elected in 2020, beating Adrian Fontes, who is now the Arizona Secretary of State.
