Many elementary schools around the U.S. are preparing to offer COVID-19 shots that educators see as key to keeping students learning in person and making the classroom experience closer to what it once was.

Kids COVID-19 vaccination event held by Adelante Healthcare in Phoenix

Children, ages 5 to 11, received their shots on Nov. 6 at Joseph Zito Elementary School in Phoenix. The event comes just days after the CDC approved one-third of the regular dose for kids. Adelante Healthcare is one of the first healthcare providers, in the state, to host this type of event.
