Firing squad bill advances at Arizona legislature

A bill that aims to replace lethal injections as a method of execution in Arizona with the firing squad is advancing at the state capitol, but not everyone agrees with the proposal. FOX 10's Lauren Clark reports.

School pronouns bill advances in AZ Legislature

Republican State Sen. John Kavanagh introduced Senate Bill 1002, which prohibits school workers from referring to students under the age of 18 by a pronoun or name that differs from their gender at birth, unless they have parental permission. It would also allow parents to request removal of library or classroom materials.

'Slowpoke bill' passes in Arizona House

The bill would add a $250 fine for drivers who poke along in the left lane without passing. The bill would also add bigger signs along roadways, reminding drivers to only use the left lane for passing. The law would only apply to highways and state routes with two lanes. After passing in the House, the bill now moves onto the Senate.

Intercepting drug smuggling drones at Arizona border

Attorney General Kris Mayes and other Arizona leaders held a news conference on Feb. 17 to discuss HB2733, which would provide immunity to law enforcement when intercepting drones engaged in drug smuggling and other crimes near the southern border.
