One person is dead following a house fire early Friday morning. Firefighters were called to a home near Honeycutt and Porter roads around 5:30 a.m. They found one person unconscious in the backyard, who was then taken to a hospital and later died.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping his ex-girlfriend and killing her dog. According to the Pinal County Attorney's Office, Peri Cann is accused of taking the woman into the desert, where he allegedly shot and killed her dog.
