2 Phoenix families displaced after fire damages homes
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix firefighters had their hands full on Friday.
In one case, crews rescued a pair of dogs and a pet turtle. The home went up in flames in the morning near 19th Avenue and Rose Garden Lane.
No one was home at the time. The house was badly damaged.
Firefighters are now helping the residents find another place to live.
A few hours later, a fire broke out near 36th Street and Greenway. The fast-moving fire destroyed two homes.
Three people were living in one house, while a family of six was living in the other home.
Officials are helping these people find a new place to stay.
Investigators are looking into what sparked both fires.
