4-legged Scottsdale cop gives safety tips

There is a new addition to the Scottsdale Police Department, and he has already made a name for himself on social media.

Officer Bob is new to the force, he's still a little nervous, and still getting used to the news media.

But even with only about a month under his collar, this 1-year-old Chihuahua mix has already proven his worth.

Bob has embraced his new role as the department's social media mascot. He's promoted responsibility at the Phoenix Open, traffic safety at Barrett-Jackson, and even celebrated throw back Thursday with a look back to the day he was rescued. His next focus is on baseball.

"Spring training is a lot of fun for everybody that comes, we just ask that people enjoy themselves, they drink responsibly, and as they come to the stadium just try to preplan where to park," said Officer Ben Hoster.

The officers hope the cute face will make you listen up. It's a rough job for the new talent of the department.
