Arizona prison inmate dead in apparent suicide

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say an inmate at the Lewis prison complex in Buckeye is dead after apparently having committed suicide.

The Department of Corrections says 51-year-old Donald Condra died Thursday despite attempts to revive him.

Condra entered the state prison system in 2008 to serve sentences on convictions in Mohave County for forgery, theft and other crimes.

The department says all inmate deaths are investigated in consultation with the county medical examiner's office.
