Authorities locate missing Pinetop boy, take aunt into custody
PINETOP LAKESIDE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A 2-year-old boy who was abducted by his aunt from his Pinetop-Lakeside home on Monday night has been found safe.
Authorities say 2-year-old Zephean Cumings has been located in good health and returned to his grandmother. His aunt, 29-year-old Cortnie Robinson, has been taken into custody.
Pinetop Lakeside Police say Zephean Cumings was taken by his aunt, Cortnie Cassondra Robinson, around 8 p.m. Monday evening. Robinson did not have permission or custodial rights to the child.
Authorities say Robinson was making unintelligible comments that the Aryan Brotherhood had put out a hit on the family and she needed to take the child.
The Amber Alert for Cumings was lifted just after 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
