Car spiked by authorities twice in Cross-Valley police chase

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - DPS officials say a car was spike-stripped twice during a police chase that began on the western edge of Maricopa County Sunday afternoon.

According to reports, the incident began at Milepost 88 on I-10 East, where a car failed to stop, and continued into the East Valley of Phoenix. DPS officials say the car was spiked once at the I-10/US 60 intersection, and again at Baseline Road, located nearby. The driver eventually stopped near Elliot Road in Ahwatukee, after losing a tire.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident, according to DPS.
