Cedar Hill teens charged with raping classmate in school bathroom

Three Cedar Hill High School students are accused of sexually assaulting a mentally disabled classmate in a bathroom during school.

Cedar Hill ISD police arrested 19-year-old Sylvanus Lanier, 17-year-old Elijah Willis and 17-year-old Marco Garcia. The alleged rape happened on Oct. 19, but the boys weren't arrested until Nov. 2.

An arrest warrant affidavit said the boys sexually assaulted a 16-year-old mentally disabled girl. Shel was told to take off her shirt and pull up her bra. She said she did so because she was "alone, scared and felt like she could not leave."

Garcia allegedly touched the girl's chest, told her to pull down her pants and put his fingers inside the girl's vagina.

The girl tried to flee, but was forced back inside a bathroom stall by Willis. He then forced her, cops say, to touch his penis.

A spokeswoman for Cedar Hill ISD says the district investigated the matter and handled disciplinary action according to its code of conduct and the law.

All three students face a felony count of aggravated sexual assault.

Lanier and Willis are still in jail. Garcia has since bonded out.
