Children donate Easter eggs to boy with autism after Polk County egg hunt

A group of children banded together to include a little boy with autism during their Easter egg hunt in Polk County on Saturday.

The Easter egg hunt was put on by The Freedom Church in Eagle Lake. Pastor Bobby Williams said hundreds turned out to find eggs, but one little boy showed up late.

By the time the boy arrived, Williams said there were no Easter eggs left to find.

The pastor said he had started the egg hunt by talking to kids in attendance about being nice and sharing. So when he told the children about the little boy not having any eggs, he said the kids ran forward to donate theirs.

The young boy "ended up with baskets and baskets full," Williams said. "Now that's what Easter is about. LOVE."
