Cops: Woman accepts plea agreement in killing-for-hire case

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in southern Arizona say a Tucson-area woman will go to prison for a killing-for-hire plot.

Oro Valley police say 51-year-old Theresa Irene White on Jan. 6 accepted a plea agreement to serve seven years in prison for one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.

According to police, White was arrested in September 2013 after she allegedly told a former family member that she wanted a relative of hers killed.

Police say White subsequently made a payment to an undercover officer to kill the relative.
