Criminal defense attorney indicted on federal charges

A criminal defense attorney in Phoenix is facing Federal charges for allegedly hiding assets amid bankruptcy claims.

A grand jury has reportedly indicted Scott Maasen for alleged conspiracy, and for alleged fraudulent transfer of property.

According to court documents, Maasen allegedly filed for bankruptcy in 2009, and then allegedly had his father and fiance purchase a million-dollar home, a diamond ring, and a golf cart.

Maasen, his father, and his fiance will be arraigned later on in November.
